The Three Component Reaction On Gem-dihalides

5-amino-2-ethylene derivatives of furan and thiophene are widely used nowadays especially in the filed of medicine working as the main structure for the biologic activities but there are few methods to get these coupounds effectively.Here we want to report a new defined muti-component reaction which is called muti muti-component reaction to obtain these products in pair quickly and economically.5-bromide-2-dichloromethyl furan or thiophene is applied as the reactant considering the gem-dichloros are more reactive than the corresponding aldehydes.Also,the reactions between gem-dihalides and the active methylene group are few reported.It is found that the process proceeded smoothly to give the desired products with thermodynamically stable(E)configuration in good to high yields.In this reaction,the Knoevenagel condensation proceeds first and then is followed by the SNAr substitution.Gem-dihalides can serve as precurors to transition-metal alkylidenes for carbonyl olefination and also the dihalide methanes are of value in the pharmaceutical,agricultural and dyeing industries.In this paper,we would like to introduce a new way to synthesize the aliphatic gem-dihalides effectively and environmentally because in the traditional Friedel-Crafts acylation reaction,a lot of hydrogen chloride gas is produced as the by-product not only polluting the environment but also wasting the resources.Further exploration on the mechanism,we can find that the halogens in the aliphatic gem-dihalides are from the aluminium chloride not the acyl chloride and the use of different amount of aluminium chloride will get distrinct products.
