Fatigue performance and life are important properties that must be considered in the design of composite products.For composite transmission products,fatigue performance research and life prediction are important tasks to ensure product safe operation.H-type carbon fiber composite membrane disc is a typical composite material transmission product.Its light weight,large displacement compensation capacity,compact design,convenient installation and maintenance,and high permissible speed are important development directions for future power transmission devices.H-type carbon fiber composite membrane disc is mainly subject to torsional stress during actual operation.Torsion fatigue performance and life prediction are important contents in its fatigue work.This paper will systematically study the torsional fatigue performance of H-shaped carbon fiber composite membrane discs.The fatigue mechanism of composite materials is complex and diverse.Scholars at home and abroad have done little research on torsional fatigue performance.The simulation calculation and experimental research on torsional fatigue performance of composite products are carried out directly,which requires a large amount of work and takes a long time.It often takes several years and the cost is high.For the engineering application of products,it is difficult to adapt to the rapid development of the industry and market demand.Aiming at this problem,a fast and economical method for predicting torsional fatigue life of composite transmission products is established in this paper,and the torsional fatigue performance of composite membrane disks is studied based on this method.First,through simulation calculations and static mechanical performance tests,the main force forms of the H-shaped carbon fiber composite membrane disk during operation were confirmed.It is known from calculations and tests that the shear load is the main force form of the H-shaped carbon fiber composite membrane disc.Therefore,it is thought that the H-type carbon fiber composite membrane disk will mainly undergo shear fatigue failure.Next,this paper studies the torsional fatigue life of the membrane disc by studying the shear fatigue performance of the weak spots of the composite membrane disc.Based on the standard test,this paper carried out a shear fatigue test on a composite V-notch sample that can be used to represent the weak part of the carbon fiber composite membrane disk.The iso-life curve of this typical laminated composite was drawn,and the fatigue life of the H-shaped carbon fiber composite membrane disk was predicted,and the prediction result was verified by experiments.The test results show that the torsional fatigue life prediction method proposed in this paper is feasible.At the same time,from theoretical predictions and experimental results,it can be seen that the H-type carbon fiber composite membrane disk has good fatigue performance.
