In this paper,the high Nb and Ta alkaline rhyolites exposed in the west of Tuohe forest farm,Keyihe Town,Olunchun Autonomous Banner,and the north of Xing'an block are taken as the research objects.The occurrence minerals of Nb and Ta in the rhyolites are studied with mineralogical analysis.On this basis,the the separation andrecovery of Nb and Ta in the samples are were investigated by gravity separation,magnetic separation.There are many kinds of niobium and Tantalum Minerals in the high Nb and Ta alkaline rhyolite in the Keyihe area,with fine mineral particles and complex imbedding relationship,which is not conducive to beneficiation.The grade of Nb2O5 is 265.3 g/t,Ta2O5 is 11.1 g/t,and it also contains a small amount of other rare earth elements,which is a resource of high comprehensive utilization value.Magnetic separation test shows that magnetic separation process has certain enrichment effect on Nb2O5 and Ta2O5.When the grinding fineness of ore sample reaches-0.074 mm 90%,the condition of 30% slurry concentration and 30 min magnetic separation time is most suitable for the separation and enrichment of Nb and Ta.The experiment of gravity separation shows that the enrichment effect of magnetic separation process on Nb2O5 and Ta2O5 is not unsatisfactory.The most suitable concentration for gravity separation is 30% pulp concentration,the grinding fineness of-0.074 mm 90%,and the feeding capacity is 0.8m3/h.In general,the high Nb and Ta alkaline rhyolites have high grade Nb Ta,but the occurrence state of Nb and Ta is not conducive to beneficiation,and the effect of magnetic separation process is better than gravity separation process,so the actual beneficiation should be considered comprehensively.
