In this paper,the principle of several image segmentation methods in the field of image processing is discussed and its application is analyzed.According to the texture characteristics of seismic images,the method of feature extraction for texture images is analyzed and discussed respectively.Based on the above premise,this paper combines the method of texture feature extraction and image segmentation,which is used to study the application of image pattern recognition.Has many limitations for the seismic data in seismic interpretation of the traditional manual interpretation methods,in order to find the way to overcome these defects,the method of image processing image segmentation,texture feature by using gray level co-occurrence matrix calculation of seismic section,on the basis of the feature values of classification for different texture regions of the image segmentation,classification the same pattern in the image.The automatic or semi automatic identification of seismic phase can be realized by matching the characteristics of typical seismic facies,instead of traditional artificial seismic interpretation.At the same time,the high precision interpretation of seismic data and the recognition of the non continuum can also be carried out.It not only saves manpower,material and financial resources,improves interpretation efficiency,but also realizes the transformation from qualitative to quantitative,from subjective to objective,to a certain extent.
