In order to explore the distribution of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)in the rhizosphere soil of the main afforestation species on the muddy coast of northern Jiangsu and its relationship with edaphic factors, the study investigated the AMF resources in the rhizosphere soil of eight major afforestation species(Carya illinoensis,Populus,Metasequoia glyptostroboides,Zelkova serrata,Ascendens mucronatum,Eucommia ulmoides,Ginkgo biloba,Elaeagnus pungens)in the muddy coastal zone of northern Jiangsu Province.Based on this,The symbiosis between AMF and8 tree species in the muddy coastal forest area of northern Jiangsu Province, and the relationship between that and soil factors was studied. The main conclusions are as follows:1.The soil environment of AMF living in 8 main afforestation trees in the muddy coast of northern Jiangsu is poor. The pH range is 7.77~8.13,and the conductivity range is 14.56%~29.83%,which belongs to saline-alkaline soil. The nutrient content is extremely lacking, and the there is a large variation in soil properties. The soil glomalin content in the study area was moderate, the ratio of TG to SOC(averaged 47.15%)and the ratio of EEG to SOC(averaged 12.77%)were relatively high, indicating that glomalin is an important source of soil organic carbon.2.The eight tree species were all infested by AMF.The total infection rate is 12.26%~90.25%.The highest average total infection rate was Carya illinoensis(90%),and the lowest was Ginkgo biloba(12%).The spore density varied greatly among the tree species. The average spore density of Eucommia ulmoides reached 42.07/g,whereas the average spore density of Ginkgo biloba was only 9.19/g.From the percent colonization and spore densities of the 8 species of trees surveyed,Carya illinoensis,Ascendens mucronatum,Eucommia ulmoides,Elaeagnus pungens and Zelkova serrata can establish a good symbiotic relationship with AMF.The endophytic mycorrhizal used for these tree species has a great potential for afforestation. The symbiotic relationship between Ginkgo biloba and AMF is poor, and the potential for applying arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi to Ginkgo biloba afforestation is low.3.33 AMF species in 10 genera were isolated from the rhizosphere soils of 8 tree species on the muddy coast of northern Jiangsu,Glomus was the dominant genus. The separation frequencies of Acaulospora foveata and Septoglomus constrictum are 50%and 54.17%,which are local dominant species.Rhizophagus clarum was the most abundant species, with a relative abundance of 29.37%.The Shannon-Werner index of AMF in the rhizosphere soil of 8 forest species was0.81~1.52,the Evenness index was 0.58~0.91,and the Simpson diversity index was 0.41~0.76.4.The total P in rhizosphere soil was significantly negatively correlated with hypha, arbuscular and total percent colonization(P<0.05).The total K was significantly positively correlated with vesicle percent colonization(P<0.05).The correlation between spore density and rhizospheric edaphic factors was not significant.Edaphic factors do not affect spore density.Principal component analysis showed that total P is the key negative factor influencing the arbuscular, hypha and total percent colonization.Total K is the key factor influencing the vesicle percent colonization.Path analysis showed that the main direct factors affecting the total AMF infection rate were total P and total K,and the indirect factors were mainly total Na and Na~+.Soil organic carbon content and soil pH are the main factors affecting AMF community and diversity. In this study, some progress has been made in the study of rhizosphere AMF resources and AMF infection status and edaphic factor correlation among eight main afforestation species in the muddy coastal zone of northern Jiangsu, but there are still many problems to be further studied. For example,we can supplement research on the herbaceous and shrub rhizosphere AMF in the region, and use molecular biology techniques and methods to prove the AMF identification results.
