Spray granulation technology is common in daily life, especially the synthesis of compound fertilizers and the preparation of drugs.Aiming at the problem of uniformity of binary particles in horizontal drums, this paper proposes a numerical simulation of the spray parameters in the horizontal drum based on the discrete element method to improve the granulation efficiency, and establishes an optimized model for multiple parameters of spray granulation.Firstly, based on the discrete element method, the mechanical model between particles is given. The paper evaluated the spray effect by the amount of mass increase and the particles that were sprayed.Secondly, the nozzle height is selected by theoretical derivation. The parameters of the horizontal drum equipment and the process parameters, namely the nozzle height, the drum rotation speed, the copy board length, the copy board angle, the number of copy boards, the particle filling rate and the spray flow rate. The numerical simulation of the spray parameters shows the selection of the spray parameters of the binary particles of different masses in the horizontal drum. Finally, taking the particle with the mass of 200 kg as an example, the influence of the change of the spray velocity before and after the analysis of the spray parameters on the qualified rate of the spray and the necessity of the study was verified.Taking the particles with the mass of 100 kg as an example, the influence of the changes of the seven spray parameters on the spray pass rate was studied byL18(37) orthogonal test. The change of the two parameters of particle filling rate and spray flow rate has a significant effect on the spray pass rate.
