Vibration and shock phenomena are common in automobiles and rail transit,buildings,military equipment and many other situations.Viscous fluid damper is an important device to avoid vibration and shock interference or damage of equipment.Shear thinning fluid and shear thickening fluid have important application prospects in the field of vibration isolation and shock resistance due to their unique rheological characteristics.In this paper,the constitutive model,damping characteristic model and the model of vibration isolation and shock resistance system of shear thinning fluid and shear thickening fluid are established to study the influence of fluid rheological characteristics on the damping characteristics and the performance of vibration isolation and shock resistance.The main research work is as follows:Firstly,the constitutive models of shear thinning fluid and shear thickening fluid based on power-law flow model and piecewise power-law flow model are established.Fluent is adopted to obtain the distribution of flow field and the influence of rheological characteristics and the damper structures on damping characteristics.Secondly,the model of vibration isolation system is established and the displacement and acceleration responses of two systems under different vibration amplitudes and frequencies are calculated by MATLAB/Simulink.The difference of vibration isolation performance between the two systems and the influence of fluid rheological characteristics on vibration isolation performance of the system are studied.Thirdly,the shock responses of the two systems under different shock amplitudes and widths are calculated,the difference of the shock resistance between the two systems and the influence of fluid rheological characteristics on the shock resistance of the two systems are studied.Finally,the damper vibration test was carried out and the damper characteristic equations are obtained.The influence of silicone oil viscosity and damper clearance on the damper characteristics are studied,and the correctness of Fluent simulation model was verified.The results can be used to guide the preliminary design of viscous fluid materials.
