Plasma,also known as the fourth state of matter,is composed of a large number of positive and negative ions,electrons,free radicals and active groups and so on.It has good dynamic effects and can be used in the field of energy.Therefore,the study of plasma is very important.For plasma,the common discharge modes are spark discharge,dielectric barrier discharge?DBD?,microwave discharge and so on.In this dissertation,a quarter-wavelength resonator and a quartz tube are fabricated using a 2.45 GHz microwave source.Argon gas is used to generate plasma jet at atmospheric pressure,which is called microwave argon plasma discharge jet at atmospheric pressure.In this dissertation,the plasma morphology and discharge mechanism,plasma parameter diagnosis,plasma combustion and plasma simulation are studied.Its main research contents are as follows:?1?The experimental platform is built and introduced,and the parameters of the self-made resonator are analyzed in detail;different plasma jets are generated by controlling the input power of the microwave source and the shape of the quartz tube,and the formation process is photographed and analyzed by high-speed camera.?2?The combustion-supporting effect of plasma jet was observed by using cross quartz tube with wine cup and methane,and by using quartz tube with wine cup,the combustion-supporting effect of plasma jet on air was observed.It was found that plasma has the beneficial effects of stabilizing flame,reducing flame lift height and expanding combustion limit.?3?Zinc plasma jet was generated by adding galvanized iron wire hairpin into ordinary quartz tube.The electron temperature and density of zinc plasma were measured by emission spectrometry.?4?The plasma jet is simulated.When the number density of plasma electrons is greater than 1011 cm-3,there are surface plasmon polaritons on the surface of quartz tube,and the plasma jet is heated and maintained.
