Whispering-gallery-mode(WGM)optical microcavity is an ideal platform for studying the interaction between light and matter because of its high quality factor and small mode volume.At present,many research groups have extensively studied the applications of the WGM optical microcavities in nonlinear optics,mechanical vibration,highly sensitive sensing and so on.In this thesis,we select the WGM sausage-like microresonator(SLM)as the research target,and the laser is coupled into and coupled out of the SLM through a fiber taper.We propose a new preparation scheme that can adjust the diameter of the SLM.We have experimentally studied some factors that affect the transmission spectra of the SLM.By adjusting the coupling angle between the fiber taper and the SLM,we find that the resonance wavelength of the SLM will change slightly.When we move the fiber taper along the axis of the SLM,we find that the transmission at the resonance will oscillate according to the position of the fiber taper.In addition,by increasing the laser intensity,we succeed to observe the mechanical vibration of the SLM caused by the radiation pressure. |
