Aeolian loess is widely distributed in the Loess Plateau in northwestern China, and many countries in the world have reported the existence of loess.Due to the continuous and alternate deposition of the loess layer and the paleosoil layer, the information of the paleo-climate change of the paleoclimate is recorded,so the paleosoil profile of the loess preserves the paleoclimatic record of the geological period. The aeolian loess is a special geological deposit mainly transported by wind and sorted by silt, mainly deposited in arid semi-arid or even semi-humid areas. There may be a close relationship between the yellow land and agricultural development. There are suspected Quaternary aeolian deposits in New Delhi,India, and Ljubljana,Slovenia, and there have been few reports of wind-blown loess in the two places?New Delhi?have not even been reported?Slovenia?.According to the investigation of the loess in the two places, the loess in the two places is similar to the loess paleosol sequence in the Loess Plateau of China. To determine whether the loess in the two places is Quaternary aeolian loess,a series of laboratory measurements were carried out.The experimental results are compared with typical aeolian loess and its paleosol, river sediment and upper crust mean value?UCC?.The following conclusions were drawn from field observations and laboratory experiments of loess in India and Slovenia:?1??1?The magnetic susceptibility of loess in India and Slovenia is lower than that in Xifeng loess(?Xifeng>??44??14??32?>?SLV),and the magnetic parameters such as IRM,F300%and Bcr indicate that the loess in the two places is dominated by soft magnetic minerals.Combined with the thermomagnetic curve and the hysteresis loop, the total amount of magnetic minerals is small. The main magnetic bearing mineral is magnetite, and the hard magnetic minerals?such as goethite?have a small content and contain different proportions of paramagnetic substances. In general, the magnetic parameters of the Indian and Slovenian loess and the typical aeolian loess in China are relatively similar.?2?By comparing the results of loess grain size, macroelement and rare earth elements with the partial data of typical aeolian loess and river phase samples, the results show that the Indian grain size is thicker than the Xifeng loess,>63?m The coarse particles accounted for more than half;while the Slovenian loess is dominated by typical aeolian components?263?m?,and the overall particle size is even thinner than the Xifeng loess L1.The particle size distribution characteristics of the loess in India and Slovenia show a high similarity with the paleosol of the Xifeng loess in China, which is quite different from that of the river phase.Using Sahu's particle size discriminant formula, almost all samples were aeolian deposition?Y<-2.7411?.Combined with the particle size index and C-M map,the Slovenian and European samples are close to Xifeng loess, and they are all transported in a wind suspension state. The Indian samples are mostly gradual suspension, indicating that they are affected by certain flow or near-source substances. The values of the major elements and rare earth elements of the typical samples of loess in India and Slovenia are similar to those of the Chinese loess paleosol.Their distribution patterns are also very similar and the upper crust is highly similar, indicating that they may be consistent in terms of source characteristics. It should be a land source area that is well mixed with various mineral components. That is,the results of particle size, macroelement and rare earth elements indicate that the Indian and Slovenian loess should be formed by aeolian deposition.?3?Previous studies on the yellow soils of New Delhi and Slovenia in India are rare, and their sources remain to be further studied.According to the existing research, the source of Indian loess is dominated by the Thar Desert, while the Slovenian loess should be the main source of the Sahara Desert.?4?In addition,China and India, both of which were“four major civilizations”in ancient times, may mean that the Yellow Land is one of the important factors affecting the origin and development of ancient China and ancient Indian civilization. Therefore, based on the research of loess and the research results of related disciplines, the previous"big river civilization"is more about people's perceptual knowledge and literary image. The role of rivers in the development of civilization is more reflected in the relative In the later period,at least in the"two major civilizations"region?ancient China and ancient India?,loess has always been the most important and stable factor in promoting the emergence and development of civilization,so this paper thinks that the"Yellow Land Civilization"is more scientific Meaning.
