Banxi antimony deposit in Hunan Province has been produced for nearly one hundred years.Its remaining resources is insufficient.In this study,the author combines the deep prospecting demand of the mine closely,uses the prospecting method of structural superimposed halo to study the characteristics of structural superimposed halo,and study on metallogenic prognosis in the deep part.Fifty-one structural superimposed halo samples were collected from three exploration lines.The contents of 21 elements were tested,what were Au?Ag?Sn?Mo?W?As?Sb?Bi?Hg?Cu?Pb?Zn?Co?Ni?V?Ti?Mn?Sr?Ba?Li?F.Finally,the author obtained 1071 data.The superimposed halo profiles of exploration structures No.12,No.7 and No.15 were produced.Drawing up 2 structural superimposed halo model maps and 3 predictive target maps of Banxi antimony deposit.The main results are as follows:(1)Geometric average values of 10 background samples of surrounding rock in Banxi Antimony Mine are calculated,which is geochemical background of indicator elements in Banxi Antimony deposit.These studies lay a foundation for the study of zoning criteria of tectonic superimposed halos.(2)Forty-one structural superimposed halo profile maps have been compiled.These maps reveal the distribution of elements in NO.2 vein zone of Banxi antimony deposit.(3)A structural superimposed halo model has been established in the No.2 vein belt,and the structural superimposed halo model map of Banxi antimony deposit has been formed.The best combination of indicative elements is Sb,Au,Ag,Sn,Mo,W,As,Hg,Cu,Pb,Zn and Ni.The characteristic indicative elements:the front halos characteristic indicative elements are Sn,W,Mo,Au,Hg,As;The characteristic indicative elements of near halo are Hg,Sb,As,Zn and Ni;The characteristic indicative elements of rear halo are Ag,Pb and Cu.It is concluded that the single mineralization of Banxi antimony deposit forms the axial zoning sequence of primary halo from top to bottom:Sn,W,Mo,Au,Hg Sb,As,Zn,Ni Ag,Pb and Cu.(4)Based on the structural superimposed halo model of Banxi antimony deposit and ore prediction criteria,the authors have made metallogenic prediction for the depth of three veins in three exploration line profiles.Three targets are proposed,which are separately distributed in NO.12,No.7 and No.15 exploration line.Three projection maps of target position have been made by the author.(5)Through validity verification in NO.15 exploration line,the validity of deep prospecting prediction method using structural superimposed halo is verified.
