The phenomenon of the growth decline and soil degradation of Populus plantation in Horqin sandy land was observed.Choosing suitable tree species to build mixed forest is an effective way to solve the problem.Through the mixed decomposition experiment of litter leaves,to study the effect of litter leaves from Populus xiaozhuanica and 10 common tree species(Vitex negundo var.Heterophylla,Maackia amurensis,Acer mono,Amorpha fruticosa,Hippophae rhamnoides,Xanthoceras sorbifolia,Hemiptelea davidii,Pinus tabuliformis,Pinus densiflora and Pinus sylvestnis var.mongolica)in Horqin sandy land.From the perspective of decomposition of ltter leaves,select the suitable mixed tree species for P.xiaozhuanica.The main conclusions are as follows:Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and of Vitex negundo var.Heterophylla,Amorpha fruticosa,P.sylvestnis var.mongolica promoted decomposition of lignin and cellulose.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and of V.negundo var.Heterophylla,M.amurensis,A.mono,A.fruticosa,H.rhamnoides,H.davidii,P.tabuliformis promoted release of carbon.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and V.negundo var.Heterophylla,M.amurensis,A.mono,A.fruticosa,H.rhamnoides,X.sorbifolia,H.davidii and P.tabuliformis promoted nitrogen release.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and other 10 tree species all promoted phosphorus release.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanicaand V.negundo var.Heterophylla,M.amurensis,A.mono,A.fruticosa,H.rhamnoides,X.sorbifolia and H.davidii promoted kalium release.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and V.negundo var.Heterophylla,P.tabuliformis,P.sylvestnis var.mongolica and P.densiflora promoted calcium release.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and V.negundo var.Heterophylla,A.mono,A.fruticosa,H.rhamnoides,P.tabuliformis and P.sylvestnis var.mongolica promoted magnesium release.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and P.densiflora promoted manganese release.Mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and M.amurensis,X.sorbifolia and H.davidii promoted the release of iron.Among them,mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and V.negundo var.Heterophylla promoted the release of C,N,P,K,Ca,Mg and the decomposition of lignin and cellulose,while mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and A.fruticosa promoted the release of C,N,P,K,Mg and the decomposition of lignin and cellulose.Principal component analysis of the decmoposition effect of the mixed litter leaves from P.xiaozhuanica and 10 common tree species on soil nutrients(soil organic matter,total N,total P,alkaline N,available P,sucrase,protease,urease,phosphatase and catalase activities)showedmutual promotion between P.xiaozhuanica and A.fruticosa,H.rhamnoides,P.tabuliformis and P.sylvestnis var.mongolica,no significant effect between P.xiaozhuanica and H.davidii and P.densiflora,and mutual inhibition between P.xiaozhuanica and V.negundo var.Heterophylla,M.amurensis,A.mono and X.sorbifolia.Comprehensive analysis of the mixed decomposition effect of litter leaves and its effect on soil nutrients shows that suitable mixed tree species for P.xiaozhuanica are A.fruticosa,H.rhamnoides and P.tabuliformis.
