In the eastern Kuqa Depression,Dibei Block is a typical tight sandstone reservoir, and the Tugerming Block is a paleouplift. In this paper, through the formation measurement, lithology description, measurement gamma, sample collection, structural pattern identification, crack measurement and other specific work, and with the Tarim Oilfield, the reservoir research work in this area..Based on the study of outcrop,drilling/logging,seismic and thin section data, the reservoir characteristics of Dibei block in Yiqi Creek structural belt and Ahe formation in Tugerming block in Yangxia sag are comprehensively revealed, and the Ahe formation in this area is re-divided into three major sections. The main controlling factors of reservoir sections in two blocks are identified, namely, lithofacies and tectonic compression.Fracture is the key factor to improve the reservoir properties in this block. The main controlling factor of Tugerming block is structure-burial diagenesis compaction. The petrological characteristics of reservoir have an important influence on the reservoir characteristics of the improved block.Based on drilling data, regional tectonic background and local reservoir evaluation criteria,it is further deduced that the effective reservoir thickness and physical properties in Dibei block are gradually deteriorating from the first to the third member. The first and second members of the Ahe Formation are mainly developed in the first and third members, while the third member is mainly type III reservoir. So exploration should be focused on the first and second members of the Ahe Formation. And the distribution trend of Tugerming reservoir types in the plane is from east to west, gradually changing from class I and II reservoirs to class III,IV and V reservoirs. Therefore, the eastern region of the Ahe Formation in Tugerming is a more favorable exploration target.
