The Marsel exploration area of South Kazakhstan is located in Kazakhstan and occupies an important position in the Silk Road Economic Belt.It plays an important role in the construction and prosperity of the Silk Road Economic Belt in Central Asia.Carboniferous is the main producing layer in Nanha Marsel exploration area, which is dominated by carbonate deposits. The reservoir heterogeneity is strong, lithological changes are large, reservoir space types are rich and unclear, which brings difficulties to the development of exploration area. Therefore,it is important to use logging data to identify reservoir types, lithological and fluid properties, and calculate reservoir parameters in this area.On the basis of literature investigation and summary of previous research results, combined with the project data of the research area, this paper completed the classification of reservoir types in the study area, and analyzed the logging response characteristics of various types of reservoirs;established the calculation model of carbonate reservoir parameters by using core analysis data and logging response characteristics;combined with gas test data, the sensitivity parameters and logging response characteristics of the gas reservoir are very special. Finally,Carboniferous carbonate reservoir characteristics and parameters calculation of South Pridorozhnaya Carboniferous in South Kazakhstan Marsel exploration area are carried out.The research results show that there are various types of gas reservoirs in South Kazakhstan area, including porous gas reservoirs, fractured gas reservoirs and fracturedcavern gas reservoirs. The Carboniferous system is dominated by fractured-cave limestone, dolomite and marl gas reservoirs, followed by porous reef-beach limestone gas reservoirs, while the Devonian system is dominated by porous gas reservoirs, with the development of fractured gas reservoirs, especially in the conglomerate section at the bottom of the lower salt section.Fractured tight gas reservoirs have high production characteristics.PRDS-18 well has two gas-bearing intervals: type II reservoir in C1 SR section 27.1m/3,type III reservoir 11.6m/2,type II reservoir 64.4m/7 in C1 V section and type III reservoir 46.9m/11.SK1017 well has three gas-bearing intervals as a whole: C1tC1v1 interval is mainly fractured reservoir with good gas-bearing property;Devonian salt-bearing sandstone reservoir has better gas-bearing property;Devonian conglomerate interval has upper gas-bearing property, middle gas-water excessive property and lower water-bearing property.Southpri 17 and Outhpri 16 wells have only conventional logging data, and no neutron and density curves have been measured(the neutron curves in the file are measured in cased wells).According to the neutron and density curves,it can be preliminarily judged that Southpri 17 and Outhpri 16 wells can be divided into three gasbearing intervals, namely,I,II and III.
