With the explosive growth of the number of communication equipment,users have higher and higher requirements for the quality of communication services.Fiber optic communication has become the most mainstream cable communication mode because of its high speed,high bandwidth and good confidentiality.In the world,more and more optical fiber networks are used in the construction of communication infrastructure.In recent years,many network operators directly provide fiber-to-the-home service.The complexity of optical fiber networks has increased dramatically,which makes it more and more difficult to monitor the unexpected faults of optical fiber networks.In order to analyze the network status,a large amount of monitoring data has been accumulated in the database,and these data are increasing constantly.In order to make the automatic monitoring system of optical fiber network more accurate in locating faults and processing large amounts of dynamic data,it is necessary to model the infrastructure and equipment in optical fiber network(e.g.station,optical cable,manhole,standard stone,joint,optical cable section between manhole standard stone,protection device,conversion information).The optical cable segment,protection device and alarm information between the stones are modeled,and the GIS system is constructed,which makes the management of the infrastructure of the optical network more convenient,and the location more accurate,and reduces the repair time.For the stored historical monitoring data and the real-time generated current monitoring data,the traditional data analysis method is difficult to deal with such a large-scale data quickly.Combined with some current machine learning algorithms(such as SVM,MLP,etc.),the system can deal with a large number of data quickly,making the system more intelligent.This thesis is devoted to making the optical fiber network automatic monitoring system more efficient and intelligent.It mainly studies the following points.Firstly,it analyzes the types of main faults in current optical fiber network and the main optical fiber monitoring technology.The GIS technology and several machine learning algorithms are introduced in this thesis,and the shortcomings of the current fiber optic cable monitoring system are pointed out.Secondly,the author models the facilities in the optical fiber network.A GIS-based fault location and position display function is designed and implemented.Finally,the author integrates the above two systems and realize a completed GIS-based optical fiber network fault monitoring system.
