Laser texturing is a surface engineering technology,which has the characteristics of excellent processing quality,high controllability,consistency of texturing pits and no pollution during the process,and the laser-texturing metal plate has excellent surface coating performance,wear resistance,corrosion resistance and long service life.This technology has been widely used in aerospace,equipment manufacturing and other fields.Based on the disadvantages of previous laser texturing equipment with single output mode and small laser parameters adjustment range,a development plan for a solid-state dual-mode laser texturing equipment was introduced in detail.The laser texturing process researches were carried out on TC4 titanium alloy,and the experimental results provided a reference for the high-quality and controllable laser texturing technology on the TC4 titanium alloy.Based on the scheme,a composite pulse laser was developed using the polarization modulation technology and laser amplification technology,which can sync output or switch output laser pulses of microsecond and nanosecond.In the pulse sync output pulse laser oscillator,the microsecond pulse energy is 27.18 mJ and the nanosecond pulse energy is 25.58mJ;after amplification,the microsecond pulse energy is 421 mJ and the nanosecond pulse energy is 335 mJ.In the switch output pulse laser oscillator,the microsecond pulse energy is 92.7mJ and the nanosecond pulse energy is 46.1mJ;after amplification,the microsecond pulse energy is 1243 mJ and the nanosecond pulse energy is 1107 mJ.Based on the laser source,a solid-state dual-mode laser texturing equipment was set up.Based on the self-developed laser texturing equipment,the surface morphology,roughness and wettability process experiments were carried out on TC4 titanium alloy specimens with the single factor method.The feasibility of the equipment in practical applications was verified while exploring the effect of laser texturing on the surface morphology and performance of material.In the experiment of laser texturing pit morphology,under the irradiation of a pulse laser with near-flat top light field distribution,it was revealed that as the energy density became larger or the pulse width became narrower,the crater-shaped laser texturing pits have a tendency to change from flat morphology to peak morphology.In the laser texturing roughness experiment,the surface roughness was adjustable within the range from 0.76?m to 14.13?m after laser texturing.The laser texturing roughness algorithm was established by combining the laser texturing pit morphology parameters.In the laser texturing wettability experiment,the contact angle was adjustable within the range from 15.80° to 134.56°.It was concluded that the laser texturing technology can adjust the surface wettability of the material from hydrophilic to hydrophobic in a wide range.
