Sichuan Huili Laopengwan mine copper ore body in the proterozoic group tongan, copper deposits related to the sedimentary metamorphic, deposit by stratigraphic position control, similar copper widely distributed in sichuan and yunnan border areas, rich resources,is an important type of copper deposit,in yunnan province is called "dongchuan type" of copper, term called "Li Xi type" copper mine in sichuan province.Based on the exploration of the laopengwan copper deposit, this paper studies the geological characteristics of the ore deposit, discusses the genesis of the ore deposit, and puts forward the prospecting direction of the ore deposit of the same type, providing reference for the regional geological exploration of the same type of copper deposit.the eastern part of the mining area is widely exposed.the second and third sections of the Shiyingbaiyun group tongan Formation include the marble, charcoal slate, and the source layer of copper ore.the copper belt in this study exists in this stratum and is obviously controlled by strata and lithology. Many periods of strong regional geological formations and magmatic activity have enabled the area to develop folds, fracture structures, and basal and intermediate bedrock, providing thermal energy for the redistribution of copper minerals in the area and their superposition and transformation. In particular, the development of secondary faults and micro-structures has created a very favorable mineral conducting space for the migration and enrichment of copper ore fluids in this area.the copper ore body in the area is basically the same as that of the surrounding rock, and the chemical elements are basically the same.the magmatic rock has little relationship with the ore body.According to the characteristics of the copper mine output and the mineral combination, the Laojiaowan copper mine is a copper deposit that has undergone tectonic hydrothermal transformation after the first deposition and deterioration.Copper orebodies are layered and lenticular in the marble of the second member of the tong'an Formation(PT1T22).the trend is northwest-southeast,incline northwest, and dip 55-75 degrees.Controlled by lithology,it has the characteristics of branching, compounding, shrinkage increasing and pinch-out reappearance in strike and tendency.Orebody thickness is generally 1-5 meters, maximum 13 meters, relatively homogeneous mineralization, relatively enriched in local location, the surrounding rock is gray-black carbonaceous slate, carbonaceous phyllite and dolomite marble.the ore structure is mainly semi-automorphic-isomorphic scaly columnar granular structure,semi-automorphic-isomorphic columnar granular structure and metasomatic inclusion structure.the ore structure is mainly disseminated structure, followed by strip structure and block structure.the ore minerals are mainly pyrite and chalcopyrite, followed by porphyry, chalcopyrite, blue chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, ilmenite, anatase, hematite and limonite.According to the regional geological background and metallogenic regularity, the geological characteristics of the mining area(the distribution of ore-bearing horizons),the high-intensity geochemical anomaly and the high-precision geophysical anomaly distribution, combined with the existing geological data and results, the prospecting target areas are delineated as "M1,M2,M3 anomaly" areas delineated by geophysical prospecting work.
