As far as the nature of light is concerned,diffraction is the basic transmission phenomenon of light wave.Under normal circumstances,it is difficult to achieve stable transmission of light beam in free space without expansion.With the rapid development of laser technology,the main way to solve this problem is to construct a non diffractive beam in a special way.Recently,a variety of non diffractive beams with the center spot unchanged after long-distance transmission have been produced,It includes Bessel beam,high order Bessel beam,Mathieu beam,high order Mathieu beam,cosine beam,parabola beam and Airy beam.Non diffractive beams are widely used in laser drilling,laser precision alignment,optical precision control,optical micro operation,optical communication,plasma guidance,photon bomb production,optical communication,self focusing beam synthesis and nonlinear optics.Mathieu beam,as a new type of non diffractive beam with various optical forms,is one of the key research fields of light field regulation.The purpose of this project is to explore a new scheme in theory,and propose a new method to generate diffraction free Mathieu beam in experiment.On this basis,to generate the spiraling Mathieu beam with acceleration characteristics.The main work of this paper includes three parts:(1)By using an amplitude-type spatial light modulator to load angular spectrum of Mathieu function distribution along a arrow annular pupils,the non diffractive Mathieu beams are generated by Fourier transform method,and the ideal experimental results are obtained,especially the high-order Mathieu beams;(2)Based on the axicon,the non diffractive Mathieu beams are generated by the principle of stationary-phase;(3)Based on the production principle of thespiraling Bessel beams,spiraling Mathieu beam with accelerated propagation characteristics are theoretically constructed.The innovations of the research work include:(1)The higher-order Mathieu beams are produced by a simple method,and the ideal experimental results are obtained;(2)The diffraction free Mathieu beams are produced by the principle of stationary-phase which greatly improves the utilization of light energy and can produce any order Mathieu beams compared with other generation methods;(3)The possibility of generating the spiraling Mathieu beams with acceleration characteristics is theoretically simulated.
