Very Large Floating Structure(VLFS),as a unique Marine structure,has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of international ocean engineering due to its advantages in the exploitation of Marine resources.This paper will start on a truss type of Very Large Floating Structure.At present,there are few researches on this type of VLFS with special configuration,its motion response,wave load characteristics and total structure strength are all worth studying.Based on the three-dimensional hydroelastic theory,this paper will focus on the study of the wave load characteristics and the total strength characteristics of the structure of the truss-type VLFS to provide a theoretical basis for its structural design.The main task of this paper is as follows:(1)For a truss-type VLFS,establish a three-dimensional model and perform modal analysis to obtain a vertical bending dry mode,and then based on three-dimensional hydroelastic theory,use COMPASS-WALCS-LE software to calculate the motion response and wave load of the floating body,the loading characteristics and hydroelastic response of the floating body under different conditions such as different loading state and wave direction angle are discussed.This article also uses SESAM for calculation comparison and verification,in order to make the calculation results more convincing and analyze the difference between the calculation results of the hydroelastic method and the rigid body method.(2)According to the relevant sea condition data,the wave load of the VLFS is predicted by the hydroelastic method and the rigid body method in turn,and the calculated result is compared with the calculated value of the specification,then the design wave condition is obtained for the subsequent structural strength analysis.(3)According to the design wave conditions,the total structural strength of the VLFS is evaluated.Based on its structural strength characteristics,the weaker parts are strengthened,and then the structural strength analysis and the yield and buckling criterion of the VLFS is conducted,and the effect of local strengthening are analyzed.
