With the development of society, smart phones and devices with embedded GPS positioning have begun to spread.People can easily share information such as geo-tagged photos and GPS tracks to social network media.Social networking sites are accompanied by information such as potential geo-tags and time-stamps.These data, which are voluntarily shared by users, provide a lot of valuable information for tourism research. The study of tourist behavior has always been one of the central issues in tourism geography. It is difficult to analyze the changes of tourists' temporal-spatial behavior comprehensively and accurately with the data obtained by traditional methods. In the era of geographic information, the rapid development of social sharing networks has provided technical support for the study of tourist behavior trajectories.Based on the spatial-temporal analysis method of tourism geography, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region was used as the research area, and the geographic photo metadata of the Flickr website and the Ma cellular website,Ctrip, and Qunar network from 2008 to 2018 were captured as the data source. This article studies the spatiotemporal behavior and path trajectory characteristics of tourists in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to scientifically guide the planning, organization, and management of tourist routes in the Tibetan Plateau. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Through the statistical analysis of the interannual change, the monthly change, the weekly change and the intraday change of the number of tourists and geographical photos of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau tourist area,it is concluded that the number of tourists and geographical photos show a rising trend from 2008 to 2018,and the quantity changes at home and abroad are similar. With regard to the changes of the monthly, the overall tourist volume is in a "pyramid" structure, and there is a clear off-peak season.Among them,July,August,October, and November are the busy tourist seasons,September is the flat season, and January,February,March,April,May,and June are the low season for tourism.Weekly changes show a "buckle spoon" type development trend.A natural day presents a "pyramid" structure with a spire of 12-15 time periods, and the overall activity of visitors presents the "rest at night, daytime activities" rule.(2)According to the analysis of the spatial behavior of tourists in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,it is found that domestic photo disseminators in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau mainly come from Lhasa,Qinghai,Lanzhou and Chengdu.Inbound tourists mainly come from Russia and the United States,Canada,Ukraine and other countries and regions. It forms a first-level core agglomeration area centered on Lhasa and a second-level agglomeration area centered on Xining.Under the combined influence of the first-level central agglomeration area and the second-level core agglomeration area,a significant oblique “U” type transition zone was formed.Tourists are mainly distributed along the Qinghai-Tibet railway and near the well-known scenic spots such as the Mount Qomolangma and the Qinghai Lake, which were in their infancy in 2008-2012.At the same time as the number of tourists increases, the diversity of users is also increasing, and geotagged photo is spreading around, and the area of hotspots of geo-photos is also increasing, forming a fragmented structure distribution. The period from 2013 to 2018 is a development period. In addition, from 2008 to 2018,the center of gravity of the spatial distribution of geotagged photo of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau showed an overall shift in the southwest direction, and has experienced shifts in the southeast direction(2008-2011)-northwest direction(2011-2014)-southwest direction(2014-2016)-northeast direction(2016-2018).(3)There are three trajectory modes for tourism in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: single node mode,intra-regional path mode, and cross-regional path mode.Among them, tourists who choose the single node mode tend to have challenging scenic spots gathering places. The internal path trajectories tend to focus on areas with dense natural resource landscapes.Cross-regional path patterns have more complex and diverse location characteristics.(4)The spatial network is constructed based on the cross-regional path trajectory data, and 17 main cross-regional tourist flow trajectories are obtained through analysis.Lhasa is the most popular destination for cross-regional tourism. The Xining Tourism Grand Circle forms the hottest tourism grand circle. In addition, the Himalayas, the Potala Palace, the Qinghai Lake, and Pudacuo National Park have irreplaceable tourism Advantage. To sum up,this study has important reference and guiding significance for the later planning of tourist destinations, improvement of tourist services, and destination marketing.
