Energy is an important resource for human life and national development.With the excessive use of traditional energy,it causes problems such as resource shortage,climate warming and environmental pollution.Therefore,the search for environmental and renewable resources has become a hot topic in the world.As a clean,pollution-free and renewable energy,tidal energy has been widely developed and utilized.In most of the time,the power flow is in the state of low velocity,so it is significant to study how to improve the efficiency of power flow generation at low speed.The blade is the key factor for the power flow generator to convert the power flow energy into electric energy.We apply the method of aviation wingtip winglet to the power flow generator for improving the traditional blade.The main work of this paper is as follows: firstly,this paper describes the background and significance of the research on power flow energy and the research status of power flow generation technology at home and abroad.Through analyzing the current situation and existing problems of power flow generators,the research focus is determined.Secondly,it introduces the classic theory of blade design,such as blade element theory,Wilson theory,etc.,and selects NACA4412 airfoil as the basic airfoil.Wilson theory is used to design the geometric parameters of the blade.Matlab software is used to calculate the parameters.According to the parameters,Solidworks 3D drawing software is used to build the blade model of the tidal power generator.CFD method is used to simulate the flow field of the designed blade model and study the hydrodynamic performance of the tidal power generator.Then,the blade of the tidal current generator is improved by using the wingtip winglet device,and the CFD numerical simulation method is used to study the influence of the improved blade on the hydrodynamic performance of the tidal current generator when the wingtip winglet has different tilt angle.The results show that the wingtip winglet can improve the hydrodynamic performance of the power flow generator.When the wingtip winglet tilt angle is 10°,it has a greater impact on the hydrodynamic efficiency of the power flow generator.It not only quickly reduces the influence of eddy current on the tail speed of the power flow generator,but also improves the energy performance of the power flow generator in unit water area.Finally,the experimental platform of the power flow generator is built.According to the best parameters in the simulation results,a series of experimental models of the power flow generator with different wingtip tilt angle areestablished,and the simulation results are analyzed and compared with the experimental results.In this paper,a horizontal axis power flow generator is designed by adding a wingtip device to the base blade to improve the blade under the condition of low-speed power flow,and its structure design,numerical simulation and experiment are carried out to analyze the force characteristics of the power flow generator.The results show that the method of using wingtip device to improve the hydrodynamic performance of the power flow generator in the low water speed environment is desirable,which provides a certain reference for the development and utilization of the power flow generator in the future.
