With the continuous deepening of the lunar exploration project in China,higher requirements are placed on the study of the impact crater which is one of the main features of the lunar surface.Further research on the lunar impact craters has important research significance and reference value for exploring the geological evolution process of the moon,the formation of the lunar surface structure,and the location and landing of the lunar probe.Previously,most of the research on impact craters was based on the extraction of circular impact craters without considering the degradation process,internal structure of the impact craters and the statistical law of the evolution of the formation of the impact craters.This aspect lacks further research.In this paper,the DEM data(Digital Elevation Model)of "Chang'e 2",the DTM(Lunar Surface Topography)data of "Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter(LRO)" and the full moon 100 m mosaic image of LRO-WAC are selected as the basic research Data.These are combined with the current crater database and ArcGIS software to extract the crater slope,aspect and boundary parameters from the images of the surface of the moon.These are further combined with the image to visually determine the degree of the crater degradation of the primary and secondary craters.Statistically analyze the group law characteristics of these parameters according to different geological age units,and cross-validate the accuracy of the current geological age division.The main research contents and results of this article are as follows:(1)Study and systematically explain the formation,evolution and degradation of impact craters.(2)Based on the monthly table data,the main morphological changes of the impact crater,such as structural integrity,light and dark contrast and other visual recognition which are conducted by the quantitative study of the impact craterslope,aspect and other morphological parameters.The impact crater degradation level is divided into four Levels: C1(complete impact crater),C2(young impact crater),C3(severely degraded impact crater),C4(completely flat impact crater).(3)Based on the current geological unit age division standards,impact craters of geological units of different ages were selected.Then the statistical distribution law of the degradation grade and the age distribution of the degradation grade under a specific size were analyzed.Further statistical analysis after removing the secondary impact crater to cross-validate the geological age of the year,and provide the impact crater morphology for the geological age division Reference basis was conducted.
