With the rapid development of the Internet,spatial econometrics has developed rapidly,it's application has become more widely.Because it takes into account spatial and regional factors,it effectively reflects the spatially relevant nature of practical problems,making the study of economic issues closer to reality.Spatial weight matrix,as a bridge to extend ordinary data to spatial data,plays an non-negligible role in theory and application.However,due to the uncertainty of the spatial weight matrix and the lack of testing methods,the selection and misuse of the weight matrix arises.This paper has certain theoretical significance for the research of weight matrix.Based on the spatial Dubin model,this paper discusses the misuse of spatial weight matrix,the weight matrix is designed according to the actual geographical state of China and explored by Monte Carlo simulation.Firstly,the probability of misuse of the weight matrix is studied under the existing test.Moran's I test and two LM tests are mainly used to discriminate misuse of matrix.Then,the factors and ways of misuse of weight matrix are analyzed.Finally,the construction problem of composite geographic matrix is briefly explored.On the basis of theoretical research,This paper uses the provincial panel data from 2008 to 2016 to make an empirical analysis of the spatial effects of financial development and technological development on domestic economic growth.By comparing the misuse results,it is found that misuse of the weight matrix will result in distortion of the result of model.Through research,the paper has reached the following conclusions:It is found that Moran's I test can not effectively identify matrix misuse.In the current lack of effective discrimination of the weight matrix,two robust LM tests can reduce the probability of matrix misuse to some extent.After combining the above analysis,the paper draws the influencing factors of matrix misuse and the non-linear influence way.It is found that the construction of composite geographic weight matrix will be affected by the difference in attenuation speed of different weight matrices.When constructing composite weight matrix,It is necessary to balance the proportion of multiple weights,which has certain significance for the construction of weight matrix in practical application.Through empirical research,it is found that the financial development of China's eastern,central and western regions has obvious stratification and agglomeration trend,the strong radiation effect of financial industry in developed regions can be used to improve the financial development degree of adjacent regions.In the development of science and technology,there is a phenomenon of faults,the interaction and radiation of inter-regional scientific and technological development are weak.At the end of the paper,the theoretical and empirical parts are summarized,and the prospects and suggestions are put forward.The theoretical part can continue to explore in combination with other methods.When studying practical problems,it is necessary to strengthen the judgment and selection of the spatial weight matrix to reduce the impact of weight misuse.
