The research of carbon anode height measurement system is of great significance for improving the level of production automation in electrolytic aluminum production.At present,the anode height measurement system based on laser ranging use laser ranging device to scan and position the anode to achieve non-contact measurement of the anode height.The measurement accuracy of this system during the measurement process is limited because the measurement device is susceptible to high-temperature radiation interference from the measured object and the measurement method depends on the flatness of the anode bottom surface.To solve the above problems,an anode height measurement system based on laser ranging is studied in this thesis.By designing the system measurement device and improving the measurement method to improve the measurement accuracy.The main research contents of the paper are as follows:Aiming at the problem that the laser device is susceptible to high-temperature radiation of the measured object,a high-temperature laser rangefinder is designed in this thesis by using direct laser triangulation method.Based on hardware filtering,it can filter out infrared radiation and other ambient light interference caused by the high temperature of the measured object by using green laser and narrow band filter.By establishing the approximate distance model of the laser ranging device,the design parameters of the ranging device is modified to improve the measurement accuracy.The experiment results show that it measures 0.5375 mm and 0.4853 mm repeatedly for high temperature anode carbon block and normal temperature.For the inclination of the anode,uneven bottom and other factors,the bottom positioning error is relatively large.A positioning method based on anode contour reconstruction bottom center is studied in this thesis.First,the distance data and height data are preprocessed and through data fusion and coordinate transformation to achieve anode contour reconstruction.Then extract the rod data to fit the rod side equation to indirectly calculate the anode axis position.Finally,the bottom surface data is extracted based on the position of the anode axis to calculate the center position of the bottom surface.The experiments show that the repeatability of this method for high temperature anode measurement is 1.9mm.Finally,the hardware system and software module was designed,and the anode ranging system based on laser ranging was implemented.it was used for industrial field actual testing.The experimental results show that the system can well realize the basic measurement function and calculation function,the measurement error is ± 10.8mm.
