Aluminum alloy materials are widely used in the manufacturing of aerospace structural parts in China due to their heat and corrosion resistance,so it is very significant to detect the internal defects of aluminum alloy castings.X-ray nondestructive testing has the advantages of intuitive defect information,quantitative and qualitative accuracy,and it is a more commonly used tool for metal casting detection.With the rapid development of modern industry and the maturity of digital image processing technology,X-ray digital imaging technology has been widely used in industrial nondestructive testing,greatly improving the efficiency and quality of testing,reducing the cost,and testing data are easy to save and query,which has a very important application prospect and application value.Therefore,the research and application of X-ray digital imaging technology is of great significance in the filed of nondestructive testing of aluminum alloy casting defects.In this paper,a X-ray real-time digital imaging system based on linear array detector is researched to detect the internal defects of cylindrical aluminum alloy castings.The whole system consists of two parts: hardware mechanism and computer image processing software.The main work of this paper is to develop a set of image acquisition and processing software under the MFC platform of Visual Studio 2012.The software mainly includes image acquisition module,system communication control module and static image processing module.First,set the relevant parameters on the software to control the acquisition speed and image size.Next,the computer software opens the X-ray flaw detector through the serial port communication.Then,send instructions to the lower computer through the PLC communication to control the rotation of the mechanical turntable,and start the acquisition operation of the linear array detector at the same time.Through the real-time imaging mode of scanning while rotating,a fixed-size X-ray digital image is finally obtained.In addition,thispaper studies a variety of image noise reduction and edge detail enhancement algorithms,and improves an adaptive image enhancement algorithm based on unsharp masking method,so that the film evaluator can analyze the internal defect information of the castings faster and better,and improve the work efficiency and the quality.The X-ray digital imaging system studied in this paper has been applied to practical engineering projects.It has been verified that the software works well and can quickly and efficiently complete the internal defect detection of cylindrical aluminum alloy castings.It has high practical application value.
