There are no doubts that plastics problem in the ocean environment have become an increasingly worldwide focus in past several decades.A number of experts regard the plastic waste as one of the hardest anthropogenic threats to solve.The degradation of large individual plastic items leads to millions of microplstics(MPs)pieces ultimately.As a result,MPs were found in estuaries and abysmal sea all over the world.MPs have been detected in subtotal sea products.Furthermore,the development of offshore fishery,aquaculture industry and the marine tourism have been inhibited badly.The surface seawater was sampled in spring,summer and autumn in 2018.The features and concentrations of MPs were detected by flotation process,microscopy method and infrared spectroscopy.Time-space distribution and variance of MPs in surface water from Tianjin coastal area were analyzed by One-way analysis of variance.The conclusions were followed:(1)MPs pollution was prevalent in surface water from Tianjin coastal area,and the average of MPs concentration was 9.29±0.93 n/L.In the three voyages,the MPs concentrations from high to low were:autumn>spring>summer.MPs concentrations were also higher in the stations which located in the intertidal zone.The concentrations of MPs in estuaries were higher than those in non-estuaries,indicating that rivers were the main source of MPs in seawater environment.The sampling area contained five estuaries,and showed that the MPs concentrations from high to low were:Duliujian River>Beipai River>Nanpai River>Haihe River>New Yongding River.Compared with other studied areas,MPs pollution level of surface water in Tianjin coastal area were relatively severe.(2)The MPs'length ranged 500?1000 ?m accounted for the highest percentage in Tianjin coastal area.Single transparent was given the priority in color categories in Tianjin coastal area.The fiber MPs occupied the major percentage in Tianjin coastal area.The narrow strip and slice MPs occupied a tiny monitory in Tianjin coastal area.(3)Phenyl siloxane and phenolic resin were the main MPs types in three voyages.In general,this study improved the research on the distribution characteristics of MPs in domestic coastal waters.It was relatively significant for MPs' distribution characteristics of domestic area waters.
