Kunming is an important economic town in the southwest of China with a total area of more than 20,000 square kilometers,Dianchi Lake is an important part of Kunming. There is a vast area of lacustrine sediment peat soil around Dianchi Lake. This kind of soil with special engineering mechanics leads to many engineering problems, which seriously threatens the safety of life and production of residents. So to study this special property of peaty soil is of great practical significance. In this paper, the cement, fly ash and high calcium fly ash are selected as reinforcing materials for the peat soil which can not be used directly as foundation because of poor physical and mechanical properties. The peat soil and its different modified reinforced soil are studied from two aspects: physical mechanical properties, microscopic structure and material composition. The main research work is:(1).The cement, fly ash and high calcium fly ash were added to peat soil in different proportions, then experimental study on the physical and mechanical properties of peat soil and soil reinforced with different materials, study the effect of adding peat soil alone.(2)Mixing cement, fly ash and cement high-calcium fly ash into peat soil according to different ratios, conducting indoor physical and mechanical properties tests on the reinforced soils with different materials, and analyzing and integrating the reinforcement materials.Impact on peat soil.(3)Gypsum is mixed with cement and high-calcium fly ash into peat soil as an admixture, and the best ratio is found by orthogonal test.(4)The sem scanning electron microscopy, energy spectrum analysis and XRD phase analysis of the peat soil and part of different proportions peat soil were carried out to analyze the mechanism of soil reinforcement by micro-level.
