Spectral decomposition method is a new method of seismic interpretation based on frequency information. This method is applied in many fields, such as reservoir prediction, sequence stratigraphy, discontinuity detection and hydrocarbon prediction. The accuracy of reservoir prediction and hydrocarbon detection can be improved by using spectral decomposition method. The basic principle of spectral decomposition is based on the tuning characteristics and frequency notch characteristics of single layer medium. The frequency subsidence formula of multilayer reflection is derived in this paper. It is found that in the thin interbed model of equal thickness deposition, the frequency subsidence period and the time thickness of the stratum are reciprocal.Besides, the tuning characteristics of geological models with different sedimentary combinations are also studied. The key to spectrum decomposition is the choice of time-frequency analysis. This paper studies the three-parameter wavelet transform and focuses on the influence of the single parameter and parameter combination of the three-parameter wavelet on the properties of the base wavelet and the effect of its application.Based on the study of the two parameters of ?(modulation frequency)and ?(energy attenuation factor),the influence of ?(energy delay factor)is analyzed emphatically.Based on forward modeling,time-frequency analysis using three-parameter wavelet transform shows that it has higher flexibility and can better depict subtle geological information. Finally,In the actual seismic data interpretation, the channel boundary and sand body distribution are accurately depicted by the spectral decomposition method based on the three-parameter wavelet, combined with the RGB fusion technology, and the high-resolution interpretation of the reservoir is realized.
