Surface plasmon holography can separate display image and zero-order transmission light,which is expected to realize flat-panel holographic display and has good research value.At present,the main research reported is static surface plasmon hologram using relief structure,which can not realize dynamic holographic display.A dynamic holographic display structure of surface plasmon based on refractive index modulation is proposed in this paper.This structure not only retains the characteristics of zero-order transmission light in static surface plasmon holographic structure,but also realizes dynamic modulation of holographic image after replacing relief structure with liquid crystal spatial light modulator.In this paper,the dynamic holography of surface plasmon based on spatial light modulator modulation is deeply studied by combining theory with simulation and experimental verification.This research promotes the development of surface plasmon holography from static to dynamic display technology.In this paper,the refractive index modulation is proposed to replace the micro-nano relief structure currently used in surface plasmon holography,so that the reconstructed electromagnetic field of surface plasmon holography can be dynamically adjusted and the dynamic holographic display of surface plasmon can be realized.The main research contents are as follows: Firstly,based on the theory of surface plasmon characteristics and optical holography,the concept of surface plasmon holography based on refractive index modulation is proposed,and the dynamic holographic display structure of liquid crystal spatial light modulator-metal-prism is designed.The mechanism of parallel light modulated by this structure is analyzed by combining GS algorithm and annealing algorithm.Then,the physical mechanism of the surface plasma modulated by the refractive index change of the silver surface medium in the structure is simulated by the finite-difference time-domain method,and compared with the above theoretical modulation mechanism.The simulation results verify the feasibility of the surface plasma dynamic holography theory.Then,according to the actual operability of the simulation results,the experimental device of dynamic holography of surface plasma is designed.The trapezoidal prism and silver film used to excite surface plasma,the grating ITO glass and the poured liquid crystal structure are fabricated,and the wedge prism used to derive the emitted light is fabricated.The phenomena are observed after the structure of each layer is assembled and constructed.The experimental results show that the theory of dynamic holography of surface plasmas is correct.Finally,the results obtained in this paper are discussed and summarized,and the future research work is prospected.
