| Utilizing the well logging data to figure out the oil saturation of the developed fields especially fields that have completed injection operation plays an essential role in adjusting the development plan of the oil field and improving the oil recovery.The C/O Spectral Logging is one of the most effective methods to evaluate the oil saturation in the cased well condition.It can differentiate the oil layer and water layer and the result is barely influenced by the formation water salinity.However,there still exists some problems in the traditional well logging method.Firstly,the traditional method of obtaining pure inelastic spectrum has some limitations.Secondly,the content of the carbon and oxygen in rock matrix are not subtracted from the total content thereof,consequently,the results by traditional C/O method have significant errors.This paper uses Monte Carlo numerical simulation to introduce a new method to obtain pure inelastic spectrum and calculate new C/O,improves the traditional method of figuring out formation oil saturation,studies relations among new C/O,saturation and porosity,compares the result of different methods.The paper indicates that the new method of obtaining pure inelastic spectrum overcomes the deficiency in the traditional methods;the result approximates to the real value;The new C/O Spectral Logging method is superior to traditional method,especially in formation with middle and high porosity. |
