Biological measures are one of the most effective ways to improve saline soil by using salt-tolerant plants.Among them, the cultivation of Jerusalem artichoke is not only of great value, but also has significant effect on soil improvement. This experiment reveals the effects of Jerusalem artichoke cultivation under salinization stress and its interaction with soil adaptation in saline-alkali areas of Western Jilin Province, which provides the theoretical support for the application of Jerusalem artichoke in ecological restoration in saline-alkali areas of Western Jilin Province. In this study, the suitable saline-alkali variety Nanju1 in coastal was introduced, and different soil planting experiments, observation and recording periods and growth data, soil physical and chemical properties data measured by soil sampling, and finally summarized and sorted out,and the data were analyzed by SPSS17.0.The results are as follows:(1)Nanju1 can complete the normal growth cycle of plants in different experimental fields of saline-alkali soil in Western Jilin Province.it is samples on the light chernozem soil(pH8.19?total salt 0.186 ms/cm)and on the sandy alkaline soil(pH8.19?total salt 0.258 ms/cm)undergone the whole phenological period,The germination period began in mid-to-late April,The development of rubers began in mid-to-late Oct,and the leaf fall period began in early November;the survival rates and the wintering rate of Nanju No.1 on the light chernozem soil and sandy alkaliine soil were 86.14% and 68.36%?94.56% and 82.27% respectively, and the differences were significant(P<0.05).(2)Nanju1 can grow normally in the saline-alkali area of Western Jilin Province, with abundant yield and good adaptability. The introduction is relatively successful. For example, the plant height on September 2,2017 of the Nanju1 on the light chernozem and on the sandy alkaline experimental field were 123.60 cm and 95.80 cm respectively, the diameter growth were 1.86 mm and 1.60 mm respectively, and the differences were significant(P<0.05).(3)At the emergence stage, the dry matter accumulation of stems and leaves is slowly;in the rapid growth period, the accumulation of stem and leaf dry matter begins to transfer to the ground;during the tuber expansion period, the nutrients absorbed by the tubers rapidly expand to the same level. The dry matter accumulation and yield of Nanju1 on the light chernozem field was significantly better than that on the sand-alkaline soil experimental field. For example, the dry matter accumulation of the stems on the light chernozem soil and the sandy alkaline soil in the fast growing period reached 912.26g/plant,756.02g/plant,and the differences were significant(P<0.05).(4)The main physical and chemical properties of soil those affect the growth status, the survival status and the wintering status of theNanju1 on the salt-alkalinized soil of the western of Jilin Province are the water content, the organic matter content and the total nitrogen content of soil. For example, the soil water content, organic matter and total nitrogen content in the experimental field of light chernozem area increased by 65.80%,27.04% and 29.75% compared with that in 2016,and the differences were significant(P<0.01).The effect of planting Nanju1 on soil amelioration was significantly improved.(5)The improvement effect of Nanju1 on the light chernozem field is significantly better than that on the sand-alkaline soil experimental field.Planting Nanju1 improves the physical and chemical properties of the salt-alkalinized soil significantly. The soil indexes those have been improved significantly are the period growth of plants, the adaptability of plants, the accumulation of dry matter, the yield of tubers, volume weight, total porosity, water content, organic matter content, total nitrogen content,pH and total salt content, and the differences are significant(P<0.05).In conclusion,Nanju1 can adapt to the light chernozem soil and the sand alkali soil well in the western of Jilin Province, and the light chernozem soil is more suitable for Nanju1.Jerusalem artichoke can grow and propagate normally in saline-alkali soil, and it has interaction with soil,so the effect of soil improvement is remarkable.
