Labor time allocation is an important factor affecting happiness.Research the effect of paid work hours and unpaid work hours on happiness,and the effect of time poverty on happiness,it can not only provide a new perspective for improving happiness,but also provide a new ideas for optimizing the way of labor time allocation.This paper makes use of the data from the 2017 wave of the China Time Use Survey of Inner Mongolia University,on the basis of combing relevant literature,the effects of labor time and time poverty on happiness were studied by descriptive statistical analysis and ordered Probit model regression method,and distinguishing different identity groups.The following conclusions were reached,first,workers have a long paid work hours,the average paid work hours of workers are 9.248 hours,unpaid work hours was 0.934 hours.The percentage of workers working more than 8 hours per day was 68.20 percent,and the time poverty rate was 47.08 percent.Second,the paid work hours and unpaid work hours have a significant negative impact on happiness.The happiness of time-poor workers lower than those who are not in the time poor,and the longer the total labor time,that is,the greater the depth of time poverty,the greater the probability of lower happiness levels for workers.Third,the paid work hours affect the happiness of female workers more than that of male workers;the younger the child,the greater the effect of paid work hours and unpaid work hours on happiness.Adopt conclusions and make the following policy recommendations,first,the government should put in place measures to properly reduce the paid work hours of workers,and establish corresponding safeguard measures.Second,establish unpaid work hours pricing methods,especially the pricing method for women's unpaid work hours,reducing the double burden on women,thereby improving women's welfare and bargaining power.
