In recent years,the development of research on complex networks is in the period of vigorous.After year in-depth discussions by scholars,the field of complex networks is expanding.In nature,networks rarely operate independently but in the form of an interactive network.Such as infrastructure network,communication network,transportation network and social network et.al.Many complex networks are only part of larger system,the study of structural stability on network systems are becoming an important part of research on complex networks.Due to the most real networks have some kind of mutual dependence,and the diversity and extensiveness of interconnections on complex networks.The problem of different types of interconnections on network robustness has become an urgent issue for us to explore.In the content,firstly the basic knowledge of theory and the background of research on complex networks will be introduced in the first two chapters,secondly the models of multilayer networks and the relative researches will be reviewed in chapter three,and finally our research work about interdependent networks with redundant and dependent interconnections will be explained in chapter four.Specifically,we use the interdependent networks instead of the complex system,and introduce two different inter-layer connection modes,which are redundant and dependent interconnections,to study the impact of network complexity on the robustness and vulnerability of the system.Simultaneously,we consider that the influence of redundancy and dependence into two aspects,the aspect of layer influence and the aspect of nodal influence.Therefore,results to totally four types of connections,i.e.layer redundant,layerd dependent,nodal redundant and nodal dependent.By using the simple propagation theory,it is found that increasing the interlayer redundant connections will enhance the robustness of the system.Conversely,the probability of system failure increases with the increase of interlayer dependent connections.Moreover,we find that nodal redundant has a stronger influence on network robustness than layer redundant.In the nodal partial redundancy and nodal partial dependence networks,the phase transition is significantly different.In the case of nodal partial dependence,we looked that a mixed phase transition with both continuous and discontinuous phase transition appeared,and transition will be affected by node dependence ratio.With these detailed analysis on the dependent and redundant interlayer connections,the results show that the network robustness can be enhanced by controlling the inter-dependency modes.We expect that our study help people in understanding the characteristics of multilayer networks and the robustness of network,and enhancing the specific design of complex systems.
