In recent years, due to the excavation of wild seedlings and deforestation, the number of Davidia involucrata is relatively small, and its distribution is shrinking day by day, which is in danger of being replaced by other broad-leaved species.Studies on the characteristics of associated plants in Davidia involucrata community are beneficial to the protection and utilization of Davidia involucrata. There are many wild Davidia involucrata resources in the forest range of Shifang city. There are some investigations and records on the quantity and distribution of wild Davidia involucrata, but there is no systematic analysis and research on the characteristics of associated plant communities of wild Davidia involucrata.Only by mastering accurately and comprehensively the structure and present situation of wild Davidia involucrata associated plant community can we put forward some reasonable suggestions for its protection and utilization.Germplasm resources were protected by carrying out original or remote protection. In this paper, the community characteristics of wild Davidia involucrata in Shifang City were analyzed by comparing 12 plots of wild Davidia involucrata with standard land survey method. The basic characteristics of the selection of wild Davidia involucrata biota include the diversity of species in the community, the growth forms(such as forests, shrubs, grasslands.)and the structure of the community. The relative abundance(relative proportion of different species in the community)and richness were analyzed, and the plant community characteristics of wild Davidia involucrata were obtained. The results show that the associated plants in the Davidia involucrata plot were the most abundant and diverse in the altitude range of 1800 m.The species of tree, shrub and grass all reached the peak value. It was found that in the distribution area of wild Davidia involucrata resources in Shifang area, the species richness of associated plants was the highest and the growth condition was the best in the range of 1 400 ~ 1600 m above sea level. In plot 3,Davidia involucrata is a single dominant Arbor layer population with an important value of 93.49.There are only 2 species of Arbor species in the plot, and the community is close to pure forest,so its diversity index is also low.The recipient of Davidia involucrata in 3 sample plots except for the dominant tree species,Davidia involucrata was not the communityspecies, but the main species in the other 11 plots.Several plots with higher diversity index were sample plots 2,7,10 and 12.The common features of the four plots were that the species richness of Arbor and shrub grass was relatively high, and the important value of Davidia involucrata species was lower. It means that the more complex the community structure and the higher the species richness, the more obvious the diversity characteristics of the population community structure, the higher the diversity index, the lower the important value of Davidia involucrata species.Through this study,it is helpful to further understand the species growth environment and diversity characteristics of Davidia involucrata community. The species composition and species diversity of Davidia involucrata community were analyzed and studied to provide theoretical, practical and scientific basis for the protection and development of Davidia involucrata. At the same time,in order to compile the development plan of forestry resources protection, construct ecological civilization and update forest resource management information system,it is necessary to provide necessary information on the current situation of wild Davidia involucrata resources, which highlights the important value of conservation and utilization of rare and rare plant resources.
