Anthropometry is an emerging branch of ergonomics that determines the difference between individuals and groups by the measuring the dimensions of various parts of the human body.It provides anthropometric data for a variety of industrial and engineering designs. With online shopping entering millions of households,it has become a trend for people to choose to purchase or customize clothing through the Internet,Manufacturers must obtain user's anthropometric data in order to design clothing that meets user requirements,a virtual try-on system based on anthropometric parameters emerged.Due to the variety of apparel fabrics, the huge differences in sewing methods, and the complex forces and deformations, fabric simulation and try-on has always been a key and difficult point in the study of virtual try-on systems. In this paper, the simulation technology of garment fabrics in virtual try-on systems is studied and developed. The system can not only simulate all the dynamic processes from cloth to clothing until wear on virtual human body, but also can try various styles of clothing on different shape human models.(1)A physical model of a three-dimensional fabric was created using the mass-spring model. The numerical algorithms of implicit Euler integration, explicit Euler integration and Verlet integration are analyzed experimentally, and the running speed and simulation fluency of the above three methods are compared. It was decided to use Verlet integration to solve the numerical integration of the cloth system, and simulate the deformation motion of the cloth when the cloth is pulled up and released.(2)The related theories of fabric collision detection and response were studied, and several common levels of bounding boxes were compared from different aspects.Based on the detection of bounding box intersections, the collision detection of fabrics and simple geometry and the self-collision detection of the fabric were studied. The simulation experiment in which the fabric collided with the sphere was designed to demonstrate the deformation simulation effect of the fabric under different collision conditions.(3)Using VS2010 as a development platform,a virtual try-on system based on anthropometry was established.First,a 3D human model is imported. Then, multiple bounding spheres are applied to create a body bounding box for converting a three-dimensional cloth into a variety of styles of clothing. Finally, clothing is worn on a three-dimensional human body model using cloth collision detection and response algorithms. The virtual fitting system not only simulates the creation process of the garment, but also simulates the dynamic deformation process of the garment.
