This thesis mainly introduced the holographic form of gravity,the relationship between gravity and thermodynamics,and our research on the related problems of entropic gravity.Firstly,the relationship between black holes and thermodynamics under general relativity has been introduced.Black holes had thermodynamic properties such as temperature and entropy.So the thermodynamics of black holes was established.Then the main manifestations of holographic principle and the important application of holography in physics has been introduced.Holographic principle was not only an important part of superstring theory and quantum gravity,but also had good applications in QCD,condensed matter physics and cosmology.At the same time,because the holographic screen was very important in the holographic principle,so the general construction method of the holographic screen was described later.In later chapters,the relationship between gravity and entropy has been analyzed.After Bekenstein proposed the thermodynamics of black holes,the intrinsic relationship between gravity and thermodynamics has aroused widespread interest.Jacobson first deduced Einstein’s field equation by energy equipartition theorem in 1995.On the basis of thought,Verlinde proposed the concept of entropic gravity in 2010.He extended the holographic screen from the horizon to any position in space,pointing out that gravity originated from macroscopic entropy.Verlinde assumed that the energy equipartition theorem was satisfied on the holographic screen,and deduced the general relativistic equation by using Tolman-Komar mass to support his viewpoint.At the end of this article,there was a introduction about our research results on Verlinde entropic gravity.A fundamental hypothesis of Verlinde’s entropic gravity was that the system had different entropy when the distance between the object and the gravitational source was different,so the tendency of the increase of the system’s entropy was equivalent to that of gravity.In order to test this fundamental hypothesis,a gravitational system with a thermodynamic system has been constructed and the relevant physical processes can be studied becarefully.Our research showed that the distance between the object and the gravitational source did not change the entropy of the system,so gravity can not come from the change of entropy.At least this entropy was not classical thermodynamic entropy,but may be some non-thermodynamic entropy such as entanglement entropy.Despite the close relationship between gravity and thermodynamics,the concept of idealized entropic gravity has many problems.The relationship between gravity and thermodynamics needs further study.
