The treatment of oral diseases has been increasingly improved, however there are still some limitations including noise, pain, trauma and bleeding.Mid-infrared optical fiber laser is a research hotspot in the international frontier. As an efficient and minimally invasive therapeutic method,it has a broad clinical application prospect in the field of dentistry, including endodontics, periodontics, oral implantology. It's also the international frontier research hotspot.Objective:1.The efficiency of ablation of oral soft and hard tissues treated by optical fiber laser with different working parameters,in order to obtain the best working parameters.2.By comparing the efficiency of the new Mid-infrared optical fiber laser with that of the current semiconductor laser and erbium laser commonly used in clinical stomatology,we hope to verify the advantages of the new mid-infrared fiber laser in ablating soft and hard oral tissues. Methods:The teeth and bone blocks were ablated by the new Mid-infrared optical fiber laser at different pulse width and output power, the ablation quality was measured by electronic analytical balance, the maximum depth, average depth and width of ablation were measured by three-dimensional surface profilometer, and the surface morphology was analyzed by Stereo Microscope to obtain the best parameters for the ablation of oral hard tissue; The ablation efficiency of oral hard tissue was compared with that of semiconductor laser or erbium laser to comprehensively evaluate the advantages of the new Mid-infrared optical fiber laser; The gingival tissue was ablated by the new Midinfrared optical fiber laser under different pulse width and output power, the ablation efficiency of the gingival tissue was studied by microscopy to obtain the best parameters;By comparing the differences in the ablation efficiency of gingival tissue with that of fiber laser, semiconductor laser and erbium laser, the ablation effect of gingival tissue was evaluated.Results:1.When working parameters were set as 15 ns pulse width, and the output power as 0.8w,the new Mid-infrared optical fiber laser was relatively safe and had the best ablation effect on tooth and bone tissue(p<0.05).In addition, fiber laser has a higher ablation efficiency than the current laser commonly used in dental clinical practice(p<0.05).2.The optimal working parameter for gingival tissue ablation by fiber laser ablation was 10 ns pulse width and 1.2W output power(p<0.05).Compared with semiconductor laser and erbium laser, fiber laser has higher ablation efficiency(p<0.05).Conclusion:The ablation efficiency of fiber laser is positively correlated with pulse width and output power. In addition, the application of optical fiber laser in oral soft and hard tissues is safe and efficient, and has certain advantages in the field of stomatology.
