With the rapid development of the social economy and the rapid growth of the population,the serious shortage of fresh water resources has become the focus of the world.Because of the advantage in utilizing solar energy,geothermal energy and waste heat of factory,adsorption desalination technology has great potential in the field of desalination.However,the research on adsorption desalination technology is not deep in most countries.Most researches stay in the theoretical analysis stage,and the actual adsorption desalination plant is rarely developed and put into operation.Adsorption desalination technology is studied to explore the prospect of industrialization development and acquire the reliable theoretical and experimental data.Based on the related experimental research of the primary-scale adsorption desalination plant and test of adsorption characteristics of different adsorbents,a medium-scale adsorption desalination plant is designed and developed.The water yield standard of the plant is 100kg/h.The operation data of the system are researched,and the operation laws in different working conditions are analyzed and discussed.In addition,the quality of the desalinated water is tested and analyzed.The research results show that the medium-scale adsorption desalination plant is superior to the primary-scale plant in water production efficiency and operation stability.When the temperature of heat water is at 55?,the evaporation and water yield both can meet the design requirement of 100kg/h.With the increase of temperature,the evaporation and water yield increase rapidly.When the temperature is at 80?,the evaporation and water yield can be above 190kg/h.The temperature differences between the inlet and outlet in the adsorption bed and desorption bed increase first and then decrease gradually with the operation of the system.The pressure difference on the side of adsorption bed is stable,but the pressure difference on the side of desorption bed decrease gradually with the output of the fresh water.In the desalted water,most important indexes meet the sanitary limits of drinking water except iron ions,pH,chromaticity and volatile phenol.
