Fractional flow reserve(FFR)is the gold standard for the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia in the clinical diagnosis of coronary artery stenosis.For the last few years,noninvasive computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method for coronary FFRct based on patient CCTA image data,has been widely concerned by researchers and clinicians since it was proposed.Recently,finite element analysis software ANSYS is often used for numerical simulation of coronary FFRct.As mature commercial software,ANSYS has strong power of numerical simulation,but its source code is not open,which makes it not easy to develop personalized coronary FFRct applications.The open source library of the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM)provides convenience for the development of personalized hemodynamic calculation.This paper will discuss the feasibility of LBM for the calculation of coronary FFRct.At first,an idealized coronary blood flow model was constructed based on computer aided 3D mapping software SolidWorks.The idealized coronary blood flow model is a straight circular tube model with varying degrees of stenosis,which is based on average physiological value of the normal adult coronary arteries.Then,the direct circular tube mode was carried out grid dependency analysis with the LBM and the finite element software ANSYS.Finally,the simulation results of the two methods were compared and analyzed to verify the feasibility of LBM.When the numerical simulation of straight circular tube was completed,coronary artery branches were reconstructed based on 3D reconstruction software Mimics,Freeform,Geomagic,SolidWorks,etc.for patients with coronary artery stenosis treated in Shengjing Hospital from 2012 to 2015.Equally,the grid dependency analysis was conducted based on LBM and ANSYS,and the calculation efficiency and the accuracy of the result was compared and analyzed to further verify the feasibility of LBM.Through the above comparison of results,the simulation efficiency of LBM is higher than the finite element software ANSYS when the model is more regular.Through grid dependency analysis,it can be found that the results of the relative error between LBM and finite element analysis software ANSYS is about 0.1%,which verifies the feasibility of simulating the coronary FFRct by LBM.The simulation of this study provides technical support for developing future FFRct application software,and lays the foundation for the calculation of clinical FFRct.
