Belt conveyor is one of the main transport equipment in mine.As the main component of the belt conveyor,the reversing drum is mainly used to increase the surrounding angle and change the running direction of the belt.Its lightweight is of great engineering significance for the safe and reliable operation of the belt conveyor.In this paper,the finite element analysi's model of a certain type of reversing drum is constructed,and the constraint conditions such as strength,stiffness and frequency are considered to optimize the design of reversing drum.The main tasks are as follows:(1)Single-objective optim,ization design of reversing drum.Combined with the finite element static analysis of the drum and BBD experimental design technology,a quadratic response surface approximate proxy model of the maximum displacement and stress of the reversing drum is established,and then an optimization model of the reversing drum is established with the mass of the drum as the objective function and the displacement and stress as the constraints,and the model is solved by the sequential quadratic programming method.The optimization results of the reversing drum of a belt conveyor show that the quality of the drum is reduced by 13.37%on the premise of meeting the requirements of structural design.(2)Optimization design for the robustness of reversing drum.Based on the response surface fitting function,a robust op,timization design model of the reversing drum is constructed.The model uses the probabilistic model to describe the uncertain variables.The mean and standard deviation of the shell thickness,the hub thickness and inner diameter are the design variables.Taking the mean and standard deviation of the reversing drum mass as the objective function,and using the displacement and stress as the robust constraints,the sequential quadratic programming method is used to solve the reversing roller robustness op.timization model.The optimization results show that the reversing drum quality is reduced by 4.93%under the premise of meeting the structural design requirements.And the robustness optimization design results are greater than the deterministic optimization,indicating the rationality of the robust optimization design,and also provides a useful theoretical basis and reference for the drum design and manufacturing in line with the actual needs of the project.(3)Multi-ob.jective optimization design of reversing drum.Taking the quality and natural frequency of the drum as the objective function and the displacement and stress as the constraints,the optimiza'tion model of the reversing drum was established.Through the Ansys Workbench optimization module,the multi-objective genetic algorithm was used to optimize the design of the drum.The optimization results of the reversing drum of a certain type of belt conveyor show that,on the premise of meeting the requirements of structural design,the first-order natural frequency of the reversing drum increases from 261.88Hz to 300.51Hz,and the mass of the reversing drum also decreases from 1288.4kg to 1178.1kg.
