As one of the most important material recently, metamaterials has taken an important position in the research field. It can fulfill many functions that could not be achieved by nature materials. For example, negative refractive and negative magnetic permittivity. This paper mainly focused on the modulation of the EIT analogue metamaterials by optics and the optical-induced metamaterials with the method of simulation and experiments. The main contents are as follows:(1)This paper analyzes the basic theories of the EIT analogue and explore the theory models of it.These models are analyzed in both advantages and disadvantages. In addition, the basic theories of the interaction between light and semiconductor are also explored. It provides the basic theories for the next chapters.(2)The modulation of the EIT analogue metamaterials by optics and the optical-induced metamaterials are studied in simulation. We explore the results of them under different illumination power. Both two methods can realize the whole process of the generation and disappear of the transmission window and generate different degree of the blue-shift effect.(3)We use the lift-off methods to prepare the Al metamaterial on Si wafer and test it with the terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.Through parameter extraction and fourier transformation,we can obtain the frequency spectrum changes under different illumination power. The experimental results display the same trend as the simulation results.
