Drought is the main factor affecting the development of agriculture,forestry and animal husbandry and the plant ecological environment.To clarify the molecular mechanism of plant drought resistance and improve the drought resistance of plants has become a major scientific problem in China's development of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and protection of plant ecology.As the first cation channel protein in plants discovered,OSCA1 is of great significance in exploring the molecular mechanism of plants against drought stress.However,we still don't understand the physiological mechanism of OSCA1 by now.Identifying the partners of a given protein(the interactome)may provide leads about the protein's function and the molecular mechanisms in which it is involved.This experiment mainly uses a variety of internationally advanced and highly accepted screening methods to screen out CaM as one of the interactomes of OCSA1.And carry out a deeper physiological mechanism analysis.The current results we achieved as followed:1.We found the CaM as one of the interactomes of OSCA1 Y2 H,IP-MS and BiFC.2.We discovered that CaM promotes the closure of the OSCA1 channel,thereby mediated the decrease in calcium signaling caused by OICI(Osmotic Induced Calcium Increase),by calcium imaging system and HEK293 T heterologous system.3.The binding region OSCA1(459-475)of OSCA1 and CaM was screened by Y2 H.And it was found that the binding region of CaM was not only one such as OSCA1(459-475),but also four CaM binding regions were present on OSCA1.
