The laser is derived from the principle of stimulated radiation and light amplification.Since the concept of "stimulated radiation" was introduced in 1917,the laser has been continuously researched by people from various countries for its pure beam quality and stable characteristics. It is a great concern that laser technology is widely used in various fields of human production and life, and laser communication technology is a technology that has been researched by researchers all over the world in the field of laser application. It has the advantages of high data transmission efficiency and strong anti-interference ability. However, the turbulence affects the efficiency of laser communication.A large number of experimental studies have shown that the use of a partially coherent beam reduces the effect of turbulence in the atmosphere on the bean, thereby reducing the turbulence effect, and the beam wander and scintillation can be reduced, that is to say the quality of the beam is correspondingly improved, the use of laser communication technology will make communication more efficient. This paper mainly introduces the basic theory of partially coherent light beam;atmospheric turbulence theory, including the research status of atmospheric turbulence effect, the research on the influence of atmospheric turbulence on laser communication, the statistical theory of atmospheric turbulence;the basic theory of laser transmission and the theoretical generation of a nonuniformly correlated(NUC)partially coherent beam, the transmission characteristics in anisotropic turbulence. The main content of this paper is to study the theoretical construction of nonuniformly correlated(NUC)beams and the correlation characteristics of spectral density and intensity maximum. In chapter 1,the research on the traditional partially coherent beam and the theory of atmospheric turbulence and its research progress and the research progress of the nonuniformly correlated partially coherent beam are briefly introduced. In chapter 2,the introduction of basic theoretical knowledge, first of all, including the mutual function of the spatial-temporal domain and the cross-spectral density function of the spatial-frequency domain. Then introduce the basic theory and method of laser transmission. Finally, the basic theory of atmospheric turbulence is introduced, including the research status of atmospheric turbulence effect, the influence of atmospheric turbulence on laser communication and the statistical theory of atmospheric turbulence. In chapter 3,the nonuniformly correlated beam and its research progress, the basic theory of the beam and its unique propagation characteristics are introduced, such as the laterally shifted intensity maxima different from the traditional Gaussian model beam.In chapter 4,a method for generating the spectral density of a nonuniformly correlated beam is proposed. The transmission properties of the beam and the basic Gaussian beam in different environments are compared, including spectral density, maximum intensity and PIB.In chapter 5,we summarize the main points in the article and make predictions about the direction in which we can continue to study in the future.
