In this research, the Camel forest watershed in Liupanshan Mountain is used as the research area. The effects of different types of slope, vegetation type and coverage on soil moisure distribution and change in the basin were studied by means of data collection, field sampling and data processing.Regularity, and evaluation of soil water resources in the watershed, provided a scientific basis for the development of reasonable vegetation restoration measures and improved the use of soil moisure efficiency. The results of this research showed:(1)The slope position had a significant effect on soil moisture. The positions of slope at different types of slopes had different effects on soil moisture. On the natural slope, the soil moisture increased first and then decreased with the decrease of the slope positions. On the artificial slope, the soil moisture content decreased first and then increased with the decrease of the slope position. The difference of soil moisure among slope position was more significant with the increase of soil depth. The deeper the soil layer was,the more significant the slope position had on soil moisture content.(2)Under the same slope position, the soil moisture of different vegetations was significantly different. The soil moisture of natural vegetation forest land was generally higher than that of artificial vegetation forest land. The soil moisure ranking were:natural Hippophae rhamnoides community(25.85%)>Prunus davidiana stand(25,15%)>artificial Hippophae rhamnoides community(25.11%)>natural Pinus tabuliformis stand(23.13%)>artificial Pinus tabuliformis stand(22.34%)(3)The throughrainfall under different coverage of Larix principis-rupprechtiii stands had a positive correlation linear relationship with the rainfall outside the forest. The slope of the line with the coverage of 50%was the largest,it had a small differdence compared with the slope of the coverage of 25%.The slope of the coverage of 70%was the smallest. The 25%coverage of larch woodland had the highest profile soil moisure, and the profile soil moisture decreased with the increase of coverage.(4)Taken the Camel forest watershed in Liupan Mountain area as the research object, the amount of soil water resources in different land use types of natural Hippophae rhamnoides community?Prunus davidiana stand?artificial Hippophae rhamnoides community?natural Pinus tabuliformis stand?artificial Pinus tabuliformis stand and Larix principis-rupprechtii stand was calculated. The change of soil water resources with time was similar to the seasonal change of soil moisure. The increase of soil water resources in natural vegetation forest land was more than the increase of soil water resources in artificial vegetation forest land.
