With the continuous development of X-ray applications in the medical field,X-ray protection has become a key technical issue for radiation protection and environmental protection.The traditional X-ray protection scheme focuses on the transmittance of X-rays,that is,reduces the damage of X-rays to the external environment and personnel,and the reflectivity of X-rays directly affects the radiation damage of patients during medical detection.In this paper,a new X-ray protection scheme is designed,which also reduces the transmittance and reflectivity of the X-ray shield.It is made of different metal materials mixed in a certain proportion.The main materials are:BaSO4,Fe3O4,MnO2,Cu,Smo,Gdo,Bio,Wo and unsaturated polyester resin,and the performance of the X-ray protection scheme was calculated by MCNP software based on Monte Carlo simulation method.The X-ray energy selected in the simulation is between 60 keV and 200 keV,the thickness of the shield is between 1 mm and 9 mm,and the reflectance and transmittance of X-rays are calculated.Because different metal atoms have different absorption abilities for photons of different wavelengths and energies,the X-ray shields used in this paper are composed of different atoms,which are higher than the shields made of single metal atoms(such as lead plates).The absorption rate can effectively reduce the transmittance and refractive index.The simulation in this paper is mainly divided into the following two parts:First,the reflectivity and transmittance of shields of different thicknesses are calculated for X-rays of a given energy.Secondly,for the shield of the optimum thickness,the reflectivity and transmittance of the shield are calculated.Finally,from the perspective of different plate thickness,cost and efficiency of a given plate thickness,the most reasonable protective thickness is selected.The research results of this paper provide theoretical support for the engineering design and industrialization of X-ray shields.
