As a retaining structure,retaining walls are widely used in civil engineering,construction,water conservancy and other projects.The classical earth pressure calculation theory is still widely used because it is simple and easy to use,but there are some shortcomings in the classical earth pressure theory.Coulomb theory does not consider the moment balance,which leads to the lower force point.The assumption that the linear distribution of earth pressure intensity is also inconsistent with the actual situation.Rankine theory is more rigorous,but the assumption that the wall back is vertical and smooth is too ideal,resulting in a bias in the calculation results.In view of these shortcomings,this paper adopts the idea of static balance analysis and re-integration of the differential thin layer of soil behind the wall,considering the stress state of the backfill of the wall,and improving the problems,such as inaccuracy and not meeting the actual situation of cohesionless soil and cohesive soil earth pressure results in the translation mode.On this basis,a new calculation method is proposed for the problem of the calculation of the pressure of the double-layer cohesionless soil behind the wall.The specific research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the soil arching effect between the retaining walls,on the basis of previous studies,the assumption of the slip surface of the backfill of the wall is improved,and the stress state of the backfill behind the retaining wall in the translational mode is analyzed.A simplified stress distribution assumption.(2)Taking cohesive soil as the research object,on the basis of the horizontal layer analysis method,the vertical stress state of the horizontal soil layer behind the wall is considered,and the calculation method of earth pressure is improved.Through a large number of calculations,the influence of each parameter on earth pressure is analyzed.The comparison between the calculation results and the model test results shows that the two laws are consistent.(3)On the basis of studying the non-cohesive soil,the cohesive force of the viscous fill,the cohesion of the wall back and the soil and the crack of the cohesive soil are considered,and the calculation method of the cohesive soil pressure is improved.Through the comparison of soil pressure calculations with different parameters,the variation law of soil pressure with soil parameters is studied.The calculation results are consistent with the model test results.(4)Based on the calculation method of active soil pressure of single-layer non-cohesive soil,a method of earth pressure calculation is proposed for the double-layer non-sticky soil and the vertical stress of the bottom layer of the upper layer is used as the load boundary condition of the lower layer filling.Through the comparison of the calculation results and the stratification method in this chapter,it is found that the calculated value of the stratified earth pressure is too large.The numerical simulation method is used to verify the method.The calculated values of soil pressure intensity are in good agreement with the numerical simulation results.
