Since the advent of laser scanning technology,it has been widely recognized in the surveying and mapping industry. No matter whether it is a bridge or a tunnel, the three-dimensional laser scanner cannot be built. The three-dimensional laser measurement technology is a cutting-edge technology with a very high technological content. It adopts a non-contact measurement method, and the application scene is much wider than the conventional contact measurement. In addition, the accuracy and sensitivity of 3D laser measurement are very high. The response speed of 3D laser measurement is very fast. The 3D point cloud data of the measured object can be acquired quickly. The measurement results can be obtained by analyzing these data.Because it is a non-contact measurement,3D laser measurement can respond to the field of deformation monitoring that was previously difficult to measure directly.Deformation monitoring is based on the continuous measurement of the position of the point position. The deformation of the measured object can be obtained by comparing the position information of different points at the same ratio. The high-precision three-dimensional laser measuring instrument has a very large measurable range and is large enough to reach the mountain.Deformation is small enough to measure the strain of a part. This disaster forecast can play an irreplaceable role in detecting mountain deformation. The introduction of deformation monitoring by 3D laser scanning technology also brings about changes in measurement methods and data processing technologies. Therefore, research on 3D laser scanning technology is both theoretical and engineering. This paper first introduces the important role of terrestrial 3D laser measurement in the field of deformation monitoring, and explains the current data processing methods and measurement engineering applications in the industry.Next, from the concept of deformation monitoring, analysis methods, and from the measurement principle of the three-dimensional laser scanner working methods, measurement principles and point cloud data processing, etc.do as much as possible introduced. The 3D laser scanning technology processes the point cloud data to obtain deformation information. From the principle, the point cloud data contains the coordinates of each point, but the coordinates of each point cannot find the last measurement value in the next measurement data. Therefore, when describing the measurement information,it is necessary to extract the deformed contour of the measured object, and mathematically use the information of these points to fit the contour curve. As long as there are enough points to fit the contour curve,it can be accurate enough. The overall and local deformation values can be obtained by comparing the two measured contours.According to relevant theories and experiments, combined with the data measured by the high-precision total station,we give the deformation of the monitored object and make predictions on the development trend. Finally, the accuracy of the measured data of the three-dimensional laser scanner is further verified by numerical simulation, which has a certain guiding significance for the early warning of slope.
