Existence Of Solutions For The Skyrme Model

In this thesis,we investigate the existence of solutions for Skyrme-Faddeev helical solitons and Skyrme model solitons on a three-sphere.The contents are divided into two parts.The first part is concentrated on the study of the Skyrme-Faddeev model,we use the variational method to establish the existence theorem of the two-point boundary value problem,and the properties of the solution are also studied by analytical technique.The second part is devoted to study the Skyrme model on a three-sphere.We also prove the existence of solutions to the model by variational method and using analytical technique to study the properties of the solution.
