Urban plant diversity, especially arbor diversity, plays an important role in the provision of urban ecosystem services and the improvement of the urban population's living environment.Green area plants in residential areas are the main components of urban plants, and they have the closest connection with residents, which has the greatest impact on their quality of life.Foreign scholars have carried out research on green areas in this important functional unit in several cities, but the research is mostly concentrated in a single city.In China, there are few similar studies, and there is a lack of understanding of the characteristics of plant diversity and its socio-economic impact factors in urban residential areas. In particular, comparative studies between different cities at home and abroad are even rarer.Based on this, this study has selected three typical cities of Kunming,Yuxi and Beijing.Focus on Kunming, and compare it with the neighboring city of Yuxi and the city of Beijing which is quite different to explore the characteristics of arbor diversity in urban residential areas, and its main socio-economic impact factors,as well as its differences or laws in different cities. In this study, about 80 typical residential communities were selected in each city by stratified and random method. The green plaques were used as the basic survey unit to carry out the general survey of arbor diversity, and the socio-economic factors related to the residential areas were collected for statistical analysis. The results show that:(1)Compared with the survey of ten years ago.the arbor diversity of residential areas in Kunmina increased the overall species richness, and the vertical structure of the community was well enriched, but common families and species were similar. There is a significant correlation between the age of the residential area.property fees, greening rate and tree diversity.(2)From the properties of the arbor:The arbor of various attributes of Yuxi City and Kunming City are very similar in terms of quantity ratio and species ratio.80%of the common families are the same, and 108 species are common species. There are many differences in the various attributes of arbor in the residential areas of Beijing and Kunming in terms of quantity ratio and species ratio,of which 36 species are common. In the three urban residential areas surveyed, the exotic species are similar to the native species in terms of quantity ratio and species ratio.(3)The socio-economic impact factors of arbor diversity in the residential areas of Yuxi City,Beijing Municipality and Kunming City are different. The age of construction and the distance from the city center are the common influencing factors of arbor diversity in residential areas of Beijing and Kunming. There was a significant positive correlation between the age of construction and the coverage of trees, and the negative correlation between the age of construction and the proportion of sensitized species was the common feature of the three cities. This study reveals the characteristics of arbor diversity in different urban residential areas and its main socio-economic factors through comparative analysis of three cities, which can provide reference for green space management in residential areas.
