As an important sedimentary type of river sedimentary phase,meandering river has been a hot spot for scholars at home and abroad.The predecessors have done a lot of research on the meandering river,mainly based on field outcrops,modern sedimentation,reservoir anatomy and other methods,and have achieved rich results,including classification of river pattern,types and model of sedimentary phase,reservoir structure and sedimentary dynamics mechanism and other aspects.However,researchers focus on the interpretation and analysis of sedimentary results(sediments),and there is still room for improvement in the understanding of sedimentary processes and mechanisms.The sedimentary flume experiment and numerical simulation can be used to study the sedimentary process of the meandering river,and the dynamic evolution process can be established.The sedimentary phenomena and the evolution process of the sand body can be seen more intuitively,and provide a new method for understanding the process and mechanism of the meandering river sedimentation.This paper adopts a combination of sedimentary flume experiment and numerical simulation to explore the deposition process and mechanism of the meandering river.In the study of the flume experiment of the meandering river,the distribution characteristics and shape of the sand body are summarized by observing the process of river bending,rupture and abandonment.The sand bodies from the upstream to the downstream are mainly contiguous and segmented,and their shapes are meniscus,strips and leaves.The upper part of the sand body is a continuous piece of sand body,which is in the shape of a crescent moon and a strip.The middle and lower sand bodies are segmented and mainly leaf-shaped.Twelve types of sand bodies were identified,and their length and width have a positive correlation.In the numerical simulation experiment of the meandering river,the evolution of the curved channel is mainly simulated: the river channel is extended,translated,rotated,enlarged,reversely moved and complexly transformed into a curved channel through the initial straight channel;the generation of the breach channel The evolution is mainly related to the anti-erosion ability of the river bank;the formation methods of the abandoned river channel mainly include the re-routing and the trough cutting method.The sedimentary simulation method can better reproduce the sedimentary process of the meandering river.Among them,the sedimentary numerical simulation technique is a macroscopic study,which can visually see the two formation modes and evolution of the abandoned river channel,and the formation and evolution of the breaching channel.;and sedimentary physics simulation technology is a small-scale,microscopic study that can more intuitively see the internal structure of the sand body and finely characterize the size and shape of the sand body.At present,sedimentary simulation methods have been widely used in river geological research,playing an important role in the field of river sedimentary,providing a new technology and method for basic geological research and oil and gas exploration and development,making traditional qualitative research into semi-quantitative,quantitative process research has become possible.
